1	Through the bloody veil of love meadows proceed Lovers need no cause for their loving deeds	در میان پرده خون عشق را گلزارها عاشقان را با جمال عشق بی‌چون کارها
2	Reason says six directions and no other Love says there is more that feeds my needs	عقل گوید شش جهت حدست و بیرون راه نیست عشق گوید راه هست و رفته‌ام من بارها
3	Reason found commerce, and began to trade Love went beyond commerce – different greed	عقل بازاری بدید و تاجری آغاز کرد عشق دیده زان سوی بازار او بازارها
4	Just look at Mansoor whom faithful to Love Opted for the gallows instead of creed	ای بسا منصور پنهان ز اعتماد جان عشق ترک منبرها بگفته برشده بر دارها
5	Suffering Lovers are inspired within The cynic-wise is covered with doubt’s weeds	عاشقان دردکش را در درونه ذوق‌ها عاقلان تیره دل را در درون انکارها
6	Reason forewarns of the path filled with thorns Love claims mind is the thorn you should heed	عقل گوید پا منه کاندر فنا جز خار نیست عشق گوید عقل را کاندر توست آن خارها
7	Silently remove existence from your heart And within, you’ll find meadows, flowers and reeds	هین خمش کن خار هستی را ز پای دل بکن تا ببینی در درون خویشتن گلزارها
8	Shams-e Tabriz is the sun, words are clouds With sunrise, clouds fade away and skies are freed.	شمس تبریزی توی خورشید اندر ابر حرف چون برآمد آفتابت محو شد گفتارها
